Corporate Governance
We operate with strong governance and full compliance, so every donation is managed responsibly and directed to real-world impact in regional and rural Australia.
How We’re Governed
The Rural Health Research Foundation is guided by an independent Board made up of people with experience in health, finance, business and community leadership. Our Board members bring practical skills, strong regional connections and a shared commitment to improving health outcomes in rural and regional Australia.
The Board provides strategic direction and oversight to ensure the Foundation operates responsibly, ethically and sustainably. Everything we do is guided by our Constitution and supported by clear policies that help us make good decisions and manage the Foundation well.
We are registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). We’ve held this status since 2024, giving our supporters confidence that we meet national standards for governance and accountability.
Building Trust with Our Regional Communities
When you support rural health, you want to know your contribution is being used wisely and making a genuine difference. We understand and we take that responsibility seriously.
Strong governance helps us make sure every dollar is managed carefully and directed toward projects that create real impact for regional communities. Our Board oversees financial management, risk and performance, so we can stay focused on what matters most: supporting better health outcomes where they’re needed most.
We’re committed to being open about how we work. That means clear reporting, meeting our regulatory obligations, and being transparent with our supporters, partners and community. By operating with integrity, care and accountability, we aim to be a trusted organisation that turns community support into meaningful, lasting change for rural, regional and remote Australia.
